Notes - Blah blah, this is Jr's actual memory from the time, the party watching isn't there. Memory starts as he's jammed in a dark closet with his brothers, with some awareness that he's just done some sort of VR dive. Because of the fragmentary nature of the flashbacks we get through all this segment, we don't know exactly what happened in this first meeting, but I can assume that he gets a general impression of Sakura's personality, what's up with her, etc. (She has a bizarre neurological disorder connected to the UMN that basically leaves her incapable of verbally communicating with the outside world, she's kind of locked in her own head.)
This is actually kind of bordering into sigpos territory. Jr. pretty much fell for her a little on first sight...she was probably the first civilian child his age he ever interacted with. And his scene with Juli afterwards is just as feelingsy--he's getting a chance to do something purely positive, to be a helper and a real person rather than a soldier. First time he'd ever been treated like a person, and the effect on him is pretty monumental. Obviously he's already had a lot of later memories and Aather time that's hit some of these same buttons, but this memory is still going to have a good positive effect on him.
He doesn't know about Sakura's relation to MOMO yet, that's covered in another scene, but he can tell they look very similar, and he knows that MOMO considers Joachim Mizrahi to be her father. So he apparently had the cutes for two sisters at two different times...? Well, it's not like Gaignun isn't doing the same. :3
